葉 | 單葉對生,具短柄,葉片長7-10公分,寬2-4公分,橢圓至倒披針形,葉基鈍形,葉緣全緣,側脈5-7對[1] |
花 | 呈聚繖花序,總梗較葉片長,花萼披針形,頂端反捲,花冠倒三角形,白色[1] |

產地
遍及中國各省區;朝鮮半島、日本、越南也有分佈[2],台灣產於低至中海拔森林[1]
使用情況
中醫藥認為絡石藤具有祛風通絡,涼血消腫等功效[2]

- 1. Luteolin potently blocks TNF-induced NF-kB activation,促進癌細胞的凋亡,有抗癌的活性[4]
- 2. Arctigenin會抑制癌細胞的glucose-regulated protein-78 (GRP78),進而抑制UPR pathway,導致癌細胞無法獲得glucose而抑制增生[5]
毒性研究
- 症狀
- 絡石的毒性案例很少見,在Pacific Island Ecosystems at Risk (PIER)的評估中屬於Low risk,但在Poisonous Plants of North Carolina中歸類為未知的毒物,由於含相同成分但不同植物中已經在動物或體外毒性實驗的研究證實,高劑量有細胞的毒性[6]。

- 中毒劑量
- Apigenin在體外試驗(HL-60 Leukemia cells): 0.75-3.87mM有<50%的存活率(trypan blue)[8]
- Arctiin在體外試驗(HaCaT cell): 100-250 μM 48 h significantly increased the percentage from 38.2 to 48.8% in the G1 phase[7]
- 機轉
- arctiin會抑制cyclin D1 protein[7]的蛋白表現,進一步抑制細胞的生長
